Aimeos is an open-source e-commerce platform built for the Laravel framework. It functions as a server-side application that can be deployed as a standalone shop, integrated into an existing Laravel project via a composer package, or used as a headless distribution for single page applications and progressive web applications. The software is designed to handle various business models, ranging from small online stores to large-scale B2B applications and complex marketplaces.

The application is cloud-native and compatible with environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Kubernetes. It supports a wide array of database systems, including MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. Users can install the system via the command line using composer to set up a working environment with a database and mail server configuration.

Key features

  • JSON REST API based on jsonapi.org and GraphQL API for administration
  • Support for multi-vendor, multi-channel, and multi-warehouse configurations
  • Handling of bundles, vouchers, virtual, configurable, and event products
  • Subscription system with recurring payments
  • Integration with over 100 payment gateways
  • Built-in block and tier pricing and customer group based pricing
  • Full RTL support for both frontend and backend interfaces

Aimeos uses a modular structure that allows developers to adapt, extend, or overwrite components to fit specific needs. It is intended for developers who require a scalable system capable of managing a high volume of items, ranging from a single product to over one billion. The platform includes a full administration backend with a dashboard for managing store operations and configurable product data sets. For multi-language shops, the system provides automatic route handling for different locales, and a multi-routing feature allows category and product URLs to exist as top level URLs.

The software is licensed under the MIT and LGPLv3 licenses.
