Fasten

Fasten is an open-source, self-hosted application that serves as a personal health record manager. It allows individuals and families to store and view medical data in a private environment, aggregating information from various healthcare providers, insurance companies, and labs into a single dashboard. The software is designed to consolidate distributed medical histories, including vision, dental, and general medical records, into one centralized location.

The software is deployed as a server application using Docker and is accessed via a web browser. To ensure data security, the application includes a built-in Certificate Authority that generates a self-signed TLS certificate, allowing users to establish encrypted HTTPS connections between their browser and the local server. This setup ensures that sensitive health data remains on the user's own hardware and does not leave their control.
