LearnHouse is an open-source learning management system and community platform that provides a comprehensive platform for creating and managing educational content. It functions as a learning management system (LMS) and community platform, allowing users to build structured courses, manage student submissions, and host discussion forums. The software is deployed as a web application and can be self-hosted via a dedicated command line interface (CLI) that handles setup, updates, and database backups.

The system includes a block-based editor for content creation and a set of tools for student engagement. It supports various media formats, including audio podcasts and interactive elements. Administrators can manage access through user groups and customize the visual branding of their landing pages and themes. The platform allows for the organization of courses into curated bundles called collections, providing a structured way to deliver multiple learning paths to students.
