MiroTalk P2P is an open-source application that provides a self-hosted environment for video conferencing. It utilizes a peer-to-peer WebRTC architecture to establish direct connections between users, which ensures that data is not processed by third-party cloud servers. The software supports high-resolution video up to 8K at 60fps and works across all modern web browsers and platforms without requiring external plugins.

Key features include screen sharing, call recording, and a collaborative whiteboard for visual brainstorming. For communication beyond video, it includes a chat system with Markdown and emoji support, as well as file sharing capabilities. The platform integrates ChatGPT for AI assistance and offers speech recognition to enhance accessibility. Security is managed through OIDC authentication, JWT credentials, room passwords, and host protection tools to ensure that only authorized participants can enter a meeting.

Administrators can deploy the software using Node.js or Docker, with official images available on Docker Hub for rapid setup. It includes a full REST API for integration and can be embedded into other websites via iframes or widgets. The interface is available in 133 languages and is designed to be white-label ready, allowing users to modify the source code for rebranding purposes. The application supports unlimited concurrent rooms and has no built-in time limits on sessions.

MiroTalk P2P is positioned as a privacy-focused tool for users and organizations who require full control over their communication infrastructure and data sovereignty. It is distributed under the AGPLv3 license, ensuring the software remains open and accessible for community modifications.
