Open CoDesign

Open CoDesign is an open-source desktop app that converts text prompts into prototypes, slide decks, and marketing assets. It is a desktop application available for macOS, Windows, and Linux, designed for users who prefer local-first workflows over cloud-based design tools. By moving the design process to the desktop, it avoids the constraints of web-only environments and mandatory cloud workspaces.

The software operates on a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) model, allowing users to connect their own API providers or use local models via Ollama. It is installed via package managers like Homebrew and Scoop or through direct binary downloads. The application focuses on removing subscription lock-in by letting users choose their preferred AI model for UI generation, ensuring that the user retains control over their costs and provider choice.
