Supersonic

Supersonic is an open-source desktop client for self-hosted music servers. It connects to servers using the OpenSubsonic API, as well as Jellyfin, making it compatible with servers like Navidrome. The application is designed for users who host their own music libraries and require a dedicated desktop interface for playback and management rather than relying on a web browser.

The software is cross-platform and available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. On Linux, it is distributed via AppImage and Flatpak, while macOS users can install it through Homebrew or as a standalone bundle. Windows users can choose between a standard installer or a portable zip archive. The installation process on macOS requires removing the quarantine bit via the terminal because the application is not notarized.
