Warracker is an open-source, self-hosted web application designed to organize product warranties, monitor expiration dates, and store digital receipts. It provides a centralized system for tracking purchase dates and warranty durations for individuals or teams, ensuring that product records are accessible in one location.

The software is deployed as a server-side application using Docker and Docker Compose. It utilizes a Python Flask backend and a PostgreSQL database to manage records, while Nginx serves the responsive web interface accessible via a browser. This architecture allows for local deployment on home servers or team infrastructure, ensuring that sensitive purchase data remains under the user's control.

Key features

  • Document storage for receipts, invoices, and manuals
  • Expiration alerts via email and Apprise push services
  • End-to-end warranty claim tracking with status and resolution logs
  • CSV import and export for bulk data management
  • OIDC single sign-on support for Google, GitHub, and Keycloak
  • Integration with Paperless-ngx for document management
  • Role-based access control with admin and user permissions
  • Multilingual UI support for 20 languages with RTL capabilities

The application is built for users who need a structured way to manage asset lifecycles. It includes a status dashboard with visual analytics and charts to track warranty data across the entire inventory. The system supports the addition of multiple serial numbers per product and uses a tagging system for custom organization. To maintain a clean workspace, the software allows for the archiving of expired warranties, which keeps them accessible for historical reference without cluttering the active view.

Administrators can manage multiple accounts and toggle global access permissions, while regular users can maintain their own private lists. The system also supports internationalization, allowing users to configure regional date formats and currencies to match their specific location. This makes the tool suitable for both personal home use and small team asset tracking.

Warracker serves as a dedicated tool for asset inventory and warranty documentation management.
